Systems Administrator In this role I was responsible for both remote and onsite support. The role had me installing, configuring and deploying Windows 2016 Servers and upgrading Windows 7 to Windows 10 for the End of Life of the Operating System. I setup and deployed Sonic Firewall at customer sites. Supporting VAULT for engineering collaboration as well as Egnyte for cloud based sharing. Installed configured and deployed UPS World Ship, Fed Ex Shipping Software, Multiple applications supported but not limited to Quickbooks install and support, Bluebeam install and configure, Autocad installed and configured stand alone and license server, Office bot VLA and Office 365,and hosted Exchange.

Remote Service Support Engineer My first year at Nexustek I worked supporting a number of high profile clients on the ipremise team. I was managed directly by Jennifer Milan and we used the kayako platform for ticketing. My tier 2 responsibilities were to act as an escalation point for the team. I also managed the backups for over 200 clients running AWS online backup. As a tier 2 engineer I deployed and administered Mikrotik firewalls to client sites. As well as managed many multiple servers terminal server environments.I worked with Microsoft Exchange Server in the SBS environment. We deployed another Exchange Server to host a multi domain environment and I supported the server as well as user admin

After a merger Tim Kline took over the team and we used Sales Force for our ticketing system and started to support Fortigate and Sonic Firewalls. I have configured and deployed both firewalls and have experience setting up NAT rules for public facing IP to reach private facing resources.I also have configured SSLVPN with LDAP and local users on Sonic Firewalls. We worked on many O365 migrations from onsite Exchange and other platforms.

After another merger the team was taken over by Andy Johns we used Connectwise and ITGLUE for tickets and documentation and I continued to work under him for a few months with the same workload. .

Security Analyst/Network Engineer While working for Total Technology Solutions of Denver Colorado we work maintaining and deploying network services from Cisco 1700 to 3600 series routers in a broad range of customer environments. My daily tasks involve configuration rule changes on ASA 5540-5520-5510-5505, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto firewalls in production environments. I also deploy and isolate vlans on Cisco Catalyst 2900/3550/3650/3750 switches. Often I am tasked with supporting anti-virus solutions for a broad range of clients.. One of my roles as admin required my to field calls for end users who needed specific access to sites or VPN access. Since I work well explaining and training end users I was often flagged as a candidate to work training as well as documenting for clients.

Sr. Security Systems Analyst My first year at Riverside I worked supporting a critical medical records application in a load balanced Citrix Metaframe (thin-client) environment with an Oracle 8i backend for over 500 users. While at Riverside I worked to Support server and network connectivity for 14 remote affiliate offices. This role required me to interact with Directors, Doctors, Nurses and hospital staff. My second year with the company my duties were switched to become the new Security Administrator. That year I implemented a new ISS Real Secure and HIDS (host based intrusion detection system) and NIDS (network based intrusion detection systems) worked to create policies for our environment, as well as administered upgraded and analyzed the traffic to the device. Implemented and supported Symantec Enterprise Anti Virus Solution for the Health System. Deployed, configured and supported Symantec Enterprise Firewall for Windows 2000 and a Cisco PIX firewall. Implemented Zix VPM encrypted email system. I helped the company with compliance of HIPAA standards while working to resolve security concerns in the Health System. While working as the Security Administrator I was also called in on multiple projects and have implemented a number of medical applications in a production environment. This year I was tasked with and implemented a new Red Hat Linux IDS Snort solution in the enterprise to monitor remote network segments. Also, worked to properly define VPN ACL for the Health System.

Jan 2001-Sept. 8, 2001 METRO Information Services Virginia Beach, VA Network Desktop Specialist Part of a team of 11 that was directly responsible for network operations for 32 offices located across the United States and Puerto Rico. Worked on a team that implemented and supported a variety of critical and non-critical applications in a load balanced Citrix Metaframe (thin-client) environment for over 600 users nationwide. Jr. Network Engineer Implemented multiple local area networks as a Jr. Network Engineer I worked on a team that was directly responsible for implementing new infrastructures and keeping the remaining data intact.
