Job Description & Responsibilities

Take necessary action to rectify breaches of procedures or newly identify hazards, to ensure safe working conditions. Refers more complex issues to a more senior HSE authority.

Carry out general inspections or investigate potential hazards, on notice to the employer.

Conduct training, inspection and audit on monthly basis to monitor site safety performance.

Conducts daily gas test and monitoring on the deep excavation areas which is considered as Confined Space area.

Conducts daily inspection of isolation blinds between Commissioning and Construction.

Ensure that all activity have Valid Permit to Work (PTW).

Develop and recommends strategies to avoid and/or minimized hazards.

Responsible for the education of new and current employees on hazardous material safety, industrial hygiene and emergency response procedure.

Provide technical guidance, assistance and support to employees in the solutions of health safety and environmental issues.

Conduct hazard analysis, including storage, handling, and transportation of materials and assist to prepare method statement MSDS as necessary.

Conduct and require tools & equipment inspection to ensure that they are in good working conditions and/or required 3rd party inspection as necessary.

Develop and maintains safety and health records, compiles, analyzes and report safety and health data to help identify trends and evaluate safety performance.
