Program manager/ deployer for the Nokia’s Social networking application that powers clients running on Symbian devices. The application is J2ee with Oracle backend using jgroups for cluster communication. I upgrade and manage 60 servers split between India and Suwanee Georgia. Provided Tier 3 support for all applications.

Implementation of Network Monitoring System.

Nagios Network Monitoring - Atlanta, Georgia

Groundwork monitored over 1500 Servers and Performed 3500 service checks. Migrated Groundwork/Nagios Network Monitoring System to version 5.1 running on Suse Enterprise 9. Scripted custom plug-in for server monitoring. Setup Round Robin Databases for collecting and graphing performance data. Coordinated with all departments to setup monitoring guidelines for all platforms including Linux, AIX, Solaris, Windows, and Netware. Checks were performed with network protocols SNMP polling as well as SNMP trap monitoring. Some checks performed through SSH with key authentication. Designed and managed firewall, web server, and two Linux servers running proprietary software. Administered all Linux servers in Environment. Created shell scripts for automated backups. Network Monitoring

Used Nagios installed on Linux Fedora to monitor CPU utilization, network services, free disk space and configured email notifications when alerts are triggered.

Security

Custom-built, installed and configured 70 servers for an Application Service Provider including documentation as well as patch and cable management. Designed and implemented a Backup Strategy for the ASP environment, and choosing Legato Networker with Blat for email notifications for the backup software. Organized third party offsite storage of tapes. Provided documentation for setting up backups and restoring using the user backup/recover tools that were included with Legato Networker. Responsible for the Maintenance of the Exchange 5.5 server including antivirus using MacAfee antivirus for Exchange. Wrote WSH scripts to automate ftp tasks and copying files to network shares.
