EXPERIENCE

WORK EXPERIENCE

Dometic, Entry Level Engineer, AUG 2019-OCT 2019

•Worked as a representative for Sportsman Boats and determines quality of fuel tanks to be installed for all boats.

•Inspects fuel tanks for quality in the following aspects: Measuring torque on screws on the Ullage Vent Valve and Ullage

Fuel Valve, supplies pressurized air to the fuel tanks at 3.5 psi and sprayed with a soapy water mixture to find possible leaks.

•If the leaks are found, the following methods are used to determine root cause of leak: Re-torque the screws if they are measured under 25 in-lbs., however, if the leak occurs at the NPT threads, then Slic-tite is applied to prevent leaks.

•Should the leak persist, the parts are disassembled to find any blowholes within the nylon barrier or any warping defects, and if this is the case, then the tanks are shipped back with RGA documentation.

•All data is recorded with torque values, tank number, serial number, and whether they passed the leak test with notes and reasons for why a particular tank has failed. The notes are then emailed back to the manager to help improve the tanks at Dometic.

Charleston Animal Society, Volunteer, APR 2019-OCT 2019
