COATING/PAINTING INSPECTOR
• Monitor the coating activities by the contractor/sub-contractor on a daily basis.
• Ensure all reports that are required, are completed in a timely manner and file accordingly with project specifications.
• Ensure that the painting/coating inspection and testing activities on pipelines are performed and completed as per project specifications.
• Responsible for all required inspection hold points that have been established by the project specifications are witnessed.
• Supervision of company existing projects with particular attention to Quality Control/Assurance, responsible for the execution and monitoring of approved Quality Control/Assurance Manual in the field of Coating and Painting, preparation and submittal of quality documents to QA/QC Manager.
• Perform in-process and final inspection of coating and painting activities that includes verification of blasting materials to be used. Inspection and testing of coating/painting equipment, visual inspection and verify surface profile of metal surface prior to coating/painting after blasting/cleaning.
• Conduct visual inspection on coated/painted surface and verify the wet and dry film thickness.
• Conduct visual inspection of all painting/coating materials to ensure its compliance with the required project standard and specification by the contractor/sub-contractor. Conduct visual inspection of all equipments to use to ensure equipments are calibrated and in good operating condition
• Conduct in-process and final inspection of painted /coated pipe surface including platforms prior to delivery and installation at site.
• Preparation and compilation of quality reports/records and other quality related documents for activity acceptance and final project handover.
