Project Profile:

Current Role involves the Application support of Back-office and Middle-office

in House applications calculating PnL Reports. We support the overnight batches, Trade Lifecycle Support, perform L1 & L2 level application support, work on the known issues, perform the health checks and Resiliency activities for the supported applications. And automate the Daily Reports and tasks.

Role & Responsibility:

Batch Job Monitoring:

Monitoring the supported application jobs in Control M via emails, React, monitoring tools like Geneos, Edge Alerts monitoring. Working with the infrastructure teams to resolve the batch issues.

Schedule Batch Jobs:

Create new jobs in control-m, Autosys as per user requirement, modify jobs alerts, etc.

Automation of health checks: Automate the Start of day checks to reduce redundancy of daily tasks, automation of SOD Emails.

Incident Management:

Proper incident management practices, timely closure of the incident tickets, attending P1 incidents and resolving them as soon as possible.

Management Reports:

Providing the management reports on weekly basis

User Query Support:

Provide support to user related queries, investigate issues and fix them.

Resiliency Events:

Perform SR and DR Events and maintain and update the SR Runbooks. Partner with Dev team to migrate the Application Infrastructure.

Project Profile:

Pacesetter is a UNIX / Oracle data warehouse. Data flows into Pacesetter in flat files – delimited or fixed length. SQL*Loader is used to load the data into staging area. The Production Management (PM) team is responsible for round-the-clock production support of all enterprise-wide jobs and tasks that enable the extraction, processing and dispatch application activities.

Role & Responsibility:

Provide UNIX Support:

Level 1 & 2 Control-M and UNIX support. Participate in overnight Incident Management call as per agreement with DB. Participate in outage call with Project Manager whenever requisite.

Batch Job Monitoring & Scheduling:

Monitoring batch Jobs via GUI Interface and Email. Resolve known job failures at the earliest.

Schedule Jobs with wide variety Control-m mechanisms Like Time window (Basic scheduling parameters), In (prerequisite) conditions, Control Resources, Quantitative Resources, Designation of a job as “Critical”. Create new jobs in Control - M as per request.

Incident Management:

Log in Incidents for all kinds of Production Issues as well as User related Queries. Regular follow-up on the Incidents to ensure the SLA of the Incident is met as per its Priority. Raise Change Control tickets to fix Production Data.

Provide Management Reports:

Create Production Management Reports on a regular basis and dispatch them to the relevant authorities as per the agreed SLA.
