While working for Serco, I prepared document contract data requirements such as preparing drafts, and forwarding correspondences, along with preparing and processing configuration requirement data items. My additional duty requirements on a daily basis were cataloguing all of the IT Help Central documentation database, Technical Library. Creating and implementing IT Asset procedures for the Division of Information Systems. Updated and maintained records on IT Assets. While working for Northrop Grumman, my duties were to maintain the Configuration Management (CM) and status accounting on the Aegis software CM task, exercise high levels of analytical ability to gather and interpret complex data, as well as solve unusual and difficult technical, administrative, and managerial problems. Controlled baseline configuration and interface selections and performed diagnostics using advanced techniques and tools to detect and correct network-level problems while providing technical detail to improve existing or new services. Ms. Cherry conducted briefings on telecommunication activity to other groups and management, provided AWS Computer Program (CP) delivery support to Aegis cruisers, destroyers, and land-based sites and analyzed data and maintained ACCESS database records tracking AWS CPs and media delivered from the Aegis Computer Center. Provided operational support/isolation testing for the telecommunication circuits and associated equipment, analyzed, and maintained SPM information in the Access database, and provided the Aegis Fleet with delivery description documents, CP receipt logs, and other vital computer program information. I assisted N21 branch and other government contractors with new Aegis software and verified CPs on Aegis cruisers and destroyers.
Produced and updated software test procedures and scripts using Microsoft Word, produced and updated site installation and checkout procedures for the Data Archive subsystem, and performed installation and integration of new and updated software downloaded for testing. Executed build scripts on developed software to verify completion of Non-Conformance Reports, provided phone support for installation and checkout of new and updated software to sites, and performed on-site installation and checkout support at remote location. As a Configuration Management analysis my other duties included promoting code files to Staging where it could be tested, however, to perform testing the SQL script files were developed to effect the required changes and/or additions to the database server(s) on a UNIX/Linux platform. Perl and ANT scripts are created for troubleshooting code, the process is typically determined once the desired platform is selected based on the project being deployed. The project application was assigned to the group based on multiple technologies, which included Java, and .NET. All source code was propagated to all test environment servers when it has passed all stages of verification and validation, which kept all of the environments updated with the most recent codes for the purpose of audits.
Responsibilities were to update the delivery disks and install new software from various media. Conducted computer room operations during delivery and test efforts at various Aegis platforms and land-based sites and provided analytical and technical support during Load Cycle (LC) testing of Aegis Weapon System (AWS) and AEGIS Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) programs. She configured and operated AWS tactical computer equipment during test and LC events to maintain data recording; identified, analyzed, and resolved emergent problems during AWS test computer room operations. She maintained the Computer Program Management Quick Reference Guide, and scheduled operator support for LC and system test events at the Aegis Computer Center; and prepared and delivered weekly status and monthly technical effort discussion reports.
