My name is Jim Orcherton and I’m a Certified Engineering Technologist specializing in computer graphics. My Current employment is with HMHW formally Drillform Technical Services. At HMHW, I’m responsible for many aspects of the company including development of various animations and VR simulations using Unity and various other tools including interfacing with various machines and interactions. You are able to run the entire suite of tools including catwalk, wrench and top drive with the HTC Vive controllers. Some examples of my previous employment were with Onstream and Baker Hughes which I was responsible for many duties including several complex animations involving 3d modeling using ZBrushCore and 3ds max with Vray and Redshift. Creating simulators for training and much more. My hobbies include 3D printing in which I have 2 printers at home. I also machine parts and I own my own mig welder and love to produce metal sculptures and castings using ZBrushCore. I’ve textured 3d models with 3d Coat PBR texturing software.
