Maintenance Service Manager (MSM) Chino, Ca 8/2021 – 2/2023
Transferred from Rialto location to Service Manager role in Chino. Managed up to 25 employees, with 7 Technicians directly reporting to me. Monitored timesheets and attendance, trained or re-trained in company policies as needed. Oversaw daily workloads of technicians to ensure timely completion of work orders. Assigned special projects to the appropriate team and followed up or assisted where needed. Communicated with outside vendors, FedEx Maintenance and FedEx Operations departments via emails, pass-downs, phone calls and Microsoft Teams. Participated in bi-monthly safety meetings, as well as weekly management meetings and communicated well to make sure everyone was on the same page. Focus on mentoring and developing a strong team through excellent communication. Assisted and trained any team member who was either struggling or learning a project or system. Performed audits with the technicians to ensure the team is maintaining management of the 2040 Carbon Neutral Commitment, including Fuel Island inspections, Yeti Site Snapshot, and verifying that quality PMs were being performed. Ensured that the team kept the inventory cages clean and up to date at all times. Worked with another MSM to build a sorter track vacuum to minimize wear and tear on the internal track of the BEUMER tilt tray sorter. Also collaborated and modified a Hippo chute jack with a package break, to improve safety for the user. With an eye always on safety, I train each team member on all safety areas from conveyer safety, NFPA 70 electrical safety, forklift training, and Lockout Tagout, introducing and training in PLAK. I have assisted in implementing the Brady Visual Tag lockout procedure. Also have worked with other departments to improve load stands and labeling on the floors and the dock doors. I ensure that every member of the team feels valued, safe, respected and empowered. Always communicated with my team any advancement opportunities available to them, as I encouraged growth within the company.
