Experience Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum / Education Coordinator September 2022-present, Leeds, AL
I currently work at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum as the Education Coordinator. I have also worked as Museum Aide in the past as well as the Assistant Education Coordinator. My duties include teaching visitors and groups about our park and museum, learning the exhibits we have on display and in storage, learning about our park and being able to teach all forms of STEM to our students. I also clean and work on the motorcycles and cars as needed. I also teach about the wildlife in our park and all that is native to central Alabama. I spend this time to also teach about conservation, why it is important and how we can work towards creating a healthy environment for wildlife and humans alike. I worked at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Bessemer, AL. I was the Pod transfer AFM, where I became certified to work on the Amazon Robotics floor removing as well as inducting storage pods that contain products. I was the leader of the portion of the Robotics floor my pod transfer group was working on when on site and ensured our trucks were stocked on time as well as arriving pods are inducted onto the correct floor and in a timely manner. I have also fixed faulted pods as well as work to ensure the floor is clean of obstructions. I also trained in counting and picking products for delivery and have spent time as a problem solver for the warehouse.

I was a research assistant for the Cobb Institute of Archaeology where I perform tasks as needed by the Institute director as well as familiarize myself with the exhibits. I learned a lot about environmental archaeology as well as paleo anthropology.
Christenberry Planetarium / Planetarium intern

As a Christenberry Planetarium intern I assisted in show production, outreach and in working with guests. I was in the process of designing a show that worked to explain the way humans have viewed the Universe, from the ancient past to the present. We created the large majority of the material we produced for shows and despite specializing in astronomy we explored all fields of science.

In Interlibrary Loan I delivered books on campus, scanned and sent articles, and packaged, sent and received books. I worked extensively with our global systems, such as Illiad and WorldCat. I worked directly under the Interlibrary Loan Coordinator and performed tasks as directed. I directly worked with patrons, helping to answer their questions as well as offer advice on books, research or just general issues they were experiencing with the Interlibrary Loan system.
