To Whom It May Concern;
I am writing this letter, to inform you that I am currently available for work, as a
Piping/Mechanical Checker and/or as a
Field Verification Technologist/As Builder.
My most-recent drafting-room employment involved working as a temporary Mechanical/Piping Checker - for an oil and gas E. P. C. M. company.
I also worked for an airline company as a Customer-Service Agent - in the field.
Prior to that, I worked as an Industrial Crew-Bus Transportation-Driver, as well as a Tourist Shuttle-Bus and a School-Bus Driver.
Additionally, I have been employed as a field Safety-Watch and Lead Hand - in the Oil and Gas industry.
Primarily, and before that, I worked in various industries as a Mechanical/Piping Checker, Designer, and Draftsman), as well as a Field Verification Technologist (1972 to date).
I was laid off from that in July/2015, due to a lack of work.
As well, I was employed in the Dental Industry, as a Dental Hygienist (from 1996 up to December/2012) - registered to practice in Alberta and in the North-West Territories.
I have retired from that profession.
Please Note:
A large part of my most-recent activities involved doing field-work As-Building (including Instrumentation and Controls) for the Cenovus - Foster Creek S.A.G.D. Production-Facility (wells pads) - located in east-central Alberta.
In Summary:
Between 1972 and 1998, plus 2006 to present, I have acquired experience as a Piping/Mechanical Checker/Designer/Draftsman, in various types of industries (including the): Petroleum, Petrochemical, Heavy Industrial, Oil and Gas, Ship Building (the Canadian Patrol-Frigate Program), Pulp and Paper, Mining, plus the Steel Fabrication and Construction fields. These experiences involved both manual (initially), and C.A.D drawing production (primarily using AutoCAD and Microstation – Intergraph systems). This production involved working on piping, mechanical, civil, structural, instrumentation, H.V.A.C., topographical, graphic, and some electrical drawings – specializing primarily as a Piping and Mechanical Designer/Draftsman, and Checker. A great deal of this time was spent in the field, gathering as built and design-parameter information.
If you wish to contact me, please, call me at the above telephone number(s). Thank you, for your time and consideration.
Sincerely yours;
Ben Smith
