Mechanical Engineer with experience in industrial and infrastructure projects with an excellent academic and professional record.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:

B.E(Mechanical) from N.E.D university of Engineering and Technology,Karachi in 1981 in First Division.

EXPERIENCE:

I have worked as a Mechanical Engineer in RW Armstrong (Project Management Consultant) on a project for the Construction of a New Airport Project in Maldives from 4 th

july 2018 to 31

March 2019.

I had the following duties and responsibilities :

Comply with RWA’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policy and Procedures. 1. Generally responsible for implementations and monitoring of all mechanical related works at site as per approved drawings and methods and safety rules. 2. Estimates, prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all Mechanical and related works prior to execution. Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the MEP Manager for approval prior to execution at site. Page 2 of 5

3. Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs. 4. Manages directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all the Mechanical work groups at site

5. Plans the execution of all Mechanical related works and coordinates the works to Electrical and civil groups.

6. Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily basis for all Mechanical groups at site.

7. Submits site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.

8. Supports the MEP Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the Mechanical and electrical groups at site.

9. Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards. 10. Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards. 11.Directly responsible for the safety of all Mechanical groups’ personnel of the project by ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.

12. Carrying out all Mechanical Works and equipments installation activities 13. Attends regular meeting with client, civil engineers and consultant to provide update on project progress.

14. Able to lead site personnel to execute and completion of job on time at site 15.Performs other related duties as may be required by the MEP Manager. 16. Studies MEP scope of work and tender documents to ensure that all work has been quoted accordingly.

17. Studies contract documents to become thoroughly acquainted with exact requirements and specifications of the job.

18. Manages the process of preparing material submittals and subcontractor shop drawings of MEP scope of work for submission to consultants.

19. Ensures the quick and delay-free issuance of all permits required for MEP scope of work. 20.Comply with RWA’s QHSE System.

21. Comply with the Clients QHSE requirements.

22. Ensure QHSE requirements are performed in job-related activities. 23.Participate in QHSE audits and workplace inspections. 24.Report non conformities and propose corrective actions. 25.Performs other duties as assigned.

1) From 2013 till 2016 worked with CEG (Consulting Engineering Group) as a Consultant Engineer for SRO (Saudi Railways Organization) Project “Locomotive Maintenance Facility Expansion” at Dammam Saudi Arabia

2) From November 2011 To 2013 : Worked as Mechanical Engineer with a consultant AMCDE, on the Project “ Construction of Residential Complex for the Staff of KFU (KING FAISAL UNIVERSITY)” at Al Ahsa Saudi Arabia.

I was responsible for the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for ensuring that all Shop Drawings are prepared in accordance with specifications and relevant standards.

• Ensure that materials proposed by contractor comply with contract specification and relevant standards.

• Responsible for accurate tracking of contractor's progress and monitoring of quality Worked as a Mechanical Engineer.

Project deals with high class villa plumbing requirement.

Reviewing all the drawings issued for construction prior to start the work

Going through the scope of work and investigation on the site as per drawing.

Check out that fabrication of pipes prior to erection and any other formalities like work permits, gate passes, materials availability on site etc., has completed or not before starting jobs.

Installation of utility piping & plumbing, portable water, sanitary sewerage water etc.

Installation and supervision of work as per approved design and shop drawing.

Gravity test of sanitary & sewerage system.

Inspect various types of pipe supports according to design and drawing. Inspection for piping supports & hangers.

Create and maintain Quality System Documentation, such as Quality Manuals, Quality Procedures etc.

Submit RFI for client’s inspection and assist the client’s inspector during his inspection. Page 4 of 5

Co-ordinate with clients representative for inspection and test coverage and obtain necessary approval.

PLUMBING JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Water Supply Demand following UPC Standards & HDPE and PPR.

Water Supply System Calculation.

Storm water drainage & External water supply Calculation. FIRE FIGHTING JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Fire water Demand & Fire water tank Calculation following NFPA Standards.

Head loss calculation for Fire water pumps system

Sprinkler system, Fire Hose Cabinet, Water Hydrant system, Smoke detector 3) From July 2007 to October 2011: Worked as a Mechanical Engineer with Al-Amr Group For Engineering Consultants, Saudi Arabia .

The project was water transmission line from Riyadh to Rumah. The total length of project 150 km of 600mm diameter and 300 mm diameter Ductile and G.R.P. Pipes. My responsibilities were to supervise all mechanical work and hydraulic study of the project 4 ) January 1997 to july 2007: Worked as Senior Engineer with Olympia Spinning and Weaving Mills, Karachi, Pakistan.

5) April 1985 to December 1996 : Served as a Production Engineer in shift for 11 years in Fauji Polypropylene Products from 1985 to 1996 and worked on the following.

- To achieve the target production by planning and control

- To control Labor Administration

- To maintain the quality
