SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND BEHAVIORAL DISORDER COUNSELOR, I Have worked for two and a half years with adolescents in a residential setting. I have worked with women at inpatient residential in Santa Barbara for one year, also women and children residential treatment for another year in Oxnard. Last 9 years I have worked for the Ventura County Driving Under the Influence Program. In 2019 my job was local DUI at Central Coast Headway.
I worked at the California Men's Colony for the past twenty- six months.
I worked at Atascadero State Hospital from 1-30-23 to 8-2-24.
I am a person-centered counselor educated in Dual diagnosis. I have also taught education classes at my job at Ventura County DUI

Substance abuse, behavioral disorder, and mental health counselors provide treatment and advise people who suffer from alcoholism, drug addiction, or other mental or behavioral problems.
Deliver treatment programming services to participants and conduct group and facilitate curriculum. Uses motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other Therapeutic processes.

Participate in monthly, block, cross-training, curriculum training, technical assistance training, or other training as appropriate.
Has 15 years of experience providing SUDT services as a certified AOD counselor.
