Member of the data engineering team. Responsible for building ETL flows bringing data from a variety of internal and external sources into our internal data environments, both SQL and Snowflake. Built tool for managing and monitoring internal deployment scripts.

ETL processes include data initially in a number of formats, such as JSON, XMK, CSV, SQL Tables, being written to SQL and Snowflake tables using tools such as Python data frames and DBT. Python application deployed to AWS Lambda using Docker container. ETLtasks include data cleansing and error handling. Dataset sizes up to millions of rows ingested per cycle.

Member of data science team building approaches and algorithms for new products based on heterogeneous data feeds. Used ontology-based approach to structure data properties and reconcile diverse feeds. Developed entity-resolution algorithms based on multi-factor similarity (text similarity, distance separation, taxonomic indications.) Defined and built systems for incorporating data into Azure SQL Data Warehouse using a common data architecture to allow joining of diverse data sets.

Strong focus on continuous deployment, and automated testing in an AWS. service-focused development environment.
