Human Resources,
Calgary, AB
Dear Human Resources,
I am applying for the position of electrician apprentice. I understand that an apprentice will work under the supervision of journeymen electrician and will usually perform the following common tasks of the trade: interpreting drawings and blueprints, plan the layout of electrical wiring, and to support the installation of electrical components such as outlets, switches and lighting fixtures. Based on my background I believe this position will suit me.
Through the Building Maintenance Worker training program at CCIS college I learned about operation procedures, maintenance practices and high and low limit cut-off safety switches of mechanical equipment including prime movers (IC engines, air compressor and turbines), HVAC units and boilers.
I also took a solar installation course where I studied the components of a grid-tied solar system home installation and performed a standard 5 kw solar system home installation
Thank you and I look forward to meeting with you for an interview.
Sincerely,
Timothy Kyalo
