Main responsibilities.
Entering civil and criminal cases in the civil and criminal register books. Filing cases of civil, criminal, land, and family nature. Community sensitization on right to representation before a quasi judicial body. Communicating the charges to the accused persons in court. Interpretation during court proceedings if there is a language barrier. Entering the charge sheets in cases of criminal and summary suits, notice of motion, and chamber summons among others in the court case administration system. Updating the files in the court case administration system in relation to the dates that have been adjourned.
Attending to litigants and communicating to them in cases where the cases have been adjourned that is informing them of the next date of hearing. Extracting court documents such as remand warrants, hearing notices, and bail forms. Preparing records of proceedings.
Any other duty assigned to me from time to time.
