Responsibilities encompassed Cloud Administration, DevOps and security and required a strong mix of leadership and technical skills.
• Built and maintained DevOps command line applications for CI/CD and to automate Terraform.
• Responsible for cloud security for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. I ensured ISO27001 and ISO9001 certification by keeping cloud environment compliant with ISMS requirements. I was part of the team that created the Mavenir InfoSec corporate policy document.
• Created SSO login with AD authentication for users using the principle of least privilege, constantly monitored the cloud environment using tools such as AWS Inspector and logged all user actions and API calls.
• I sat in meetings with senior Technical and Sales leadership to review future product features or enhancements. This included modeling the customer needs and creating the strategic roadmap for future products.
• Managed the relationship with AWS and worked on getting AWS credits to fund development of new products. This involved analysis and projections of costs and revenues.
• I collaborated with R&D, Ops and PLM teams to design cloud architecture for new customers and participated in projects through the deployment and support phases. I facilitated technical discussions between the R&D and Ops teams and led discussions in an AWS expertise SME chat group to troubleshoot and answer questions posted by all R&D and Ops teams.
• I collaborated with PLM, Sales, and Finance teams during customer contract negotiations to ensure that our cloud costs meet the margin requirements.
• I performed well architected reviews of current cloud architectures with a view of incorporating the latest technological advances where necessary, such as upgrading to newer and more efficient EC2 instances or migration to managed databases.
• I set up budgets and cost control measures such as autoscaling and shutting down instances when not in use.
