Director of Activities Department for combination psychiatric and skilled nursing facility. Patient population consisted of physically disabled geriatrics and emotionally disabled adults, adolescents, and latency-aged children. Supervised staff of two RMT’s, one RRT, one OTR, and two COTA’s. Department direction included scheduling for five services, revision of policy and procedures to meet JCAH and Medicare standards, coordination with various medical professionals (Unit Medical Directors, M.D.’s nursing staff, and social services) to ensure a quality activities program responsive to individual patients’ needs.
