My role in this ( Transact Project ) is Senior Transact Business / Technical Consultant

Engaged in Australian Police Bank Project where he performed around 500 test cases on Transact core banking module along with their automation on Auton8 automation software. During SIT testing phase, he was able to work on several transact modules like Customer, Accounts, Loans and Deposits, member onboarding variants whilst involving all essential aspects of core banking operations which Police Bank may acquire to facilitate its valuable customers subsequently, in their daily routine banking operations.

Sohaib had a chance to get introduced to Auton8 recorder during Police Bank SIT testing phase, by adeptly handling it for various purposes to record configure all Transact core modules Test Cases, whilst preparing their pertinent test data for auto executing them in Transact thru bulk data driven Auton8 portal ‘end to end’. This whole experience gave him extensive as well as compendious knowledge of this very intrinsic technology entirely based on innovative Auton8 fully automated software, altogether.

Looked after AA Architecture business requirements of BAU whilst supporting bankwide first level of support to all countrywide branches. Simultaneously, analysed RTGS Transactions, AA Loans, Past Due ( PDs ), Lending module, Trade Finance domain; Coordinating with vendor by seeking fixes and contract level corrections for AA based architecture issues faced by various branches .

Synchronized limit and limit Txns records based on AA activities to ensure smooth bank operations. PIL write-off cases and AA personal loans, Auto loans AA cases were tackled upfront requiring their statuses marking as pending closure, close, expired; in AA.ARRANGEMENT IDs as well as AA.ARRANGEMENT.ACTIVITY core application in T24 Transact core banking system.

Worked as bank’s consultant for supporting and assisting in SECURITIES modules including security portfolios, in Treasury Division.

Worked with business segments for supporting FX FOREX deals module in T24.

Reviewed and amended BRDs and FSDs (as business consultant) to cater to whilst gather requirements mandatory for any T24 core feature optimization, as well as for any innovative customized requirement customization (of any new product based on existing core T24 Applications) raised by bank to facilitate and serve their valued customers.

Meezan Bank August 2014 – June 2018

Assistant Manager – T24 Support / QA Testing Manager

Joined Meezan Bank as Assistant Manager for T24 support bank wide, over all to 432 branches, responsible for in-house local development issues

Training users to navigate Islamic Transactions in T24, fully participating in UAT of several Islamic Products under development, timely fixing post LIVE issues through in-house development

Resolving several bugs identified in already developed/running T24 Islamic Products at Meezan, in Production Area, by debugging module wise routines attached to individual versions being used in likes of Murabaha, Inventory and Advance stages, etc.

Implemented Islamic product named ‘Running Musharakah’ for CAD departments bank wide

Looking after T24 issues logged by all 432 Meezan branches from all over Pakistan, by giving them timely support locally as well as via vendor, Temenos, if issues pertain to vendor development or system Core Bugs

Developing T24 extracts for DWH ETL (Data Warehouse and Extract Transform and Load) for the maintenance of huge volume of bank’s daily transactions outside T24

Implemented Core LIMIT structure (with title as Hybrid Limit Structure) at Meezan, which is amalgamated with all Funded Non-Funded Products altogether, comprising of multiple Clubs concept; this was the major milestone achieved, to monitor any customer’s Global outstanding in totality for both Funded Non-Funded; in just a single click away.

Achievements:

Islamic Banking implementation in parallel to aforesaid deployment:

NIB Bank went live with 2 lead companies i.e., one was conventional CON and the other was Islamic ISB company initially with 6 Islamic branches under umbrella.

This Islamic Banking implementation was based on setting up new T2 Branches thru COMPANY CREATE T24 setup. and then setting up COMPANY CONSOL parameter along with teller parameters in all Islamic branches, for over-the-counter cash transactions and opening GL internal heads of accounts in T24. for GL PL reports setup in REPORT.LIST and other intercompany INTER CO configuration.

T24 successfully went LIVE on 4th May 2009, which was a milestone achieved by Sohaib regarding his association with Temenos T24 from its inception at NIB Bank

Sohaib’s chief achievement was the resolution of post LIVE issues which came day by day and got resolved mostly by his development experience and while resolving them they also added a tinge of business flow and knowledge of Trade Finance in Sohaib.
