I have a strong sense of right and wrong, which attracted me early on to the field of mathematics, and later to the practice of accounting. I am a strong team player and a confident leader. I have a competitive nature, and thrive when held to a high standard of excellence. After reading your company’s mission statement, I believe we have a similar vision for success, raising the bar for the accounting industry. Through my work experience I have practiced regular communication skills and time management, proving to be dependable and organized. I have taken several accounting and math courses, including Practical Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Business Calculus, and Statistical Analysis. My computer skills include experience with Microsoft technology such as Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
Problem solving, strategy, and execution are all skills I have mastered as a student-athlete. My employment history has required me to manage time, prioritize tasks, and navigate multiple responsibilities. My communication and interpersonal skills have become stronger with my experiences as a student, an athlete, and an employee. All will prove complementary to the roles of auditing/tax, assisting client processes, and data integration required for the internship.
