Fire Accident Detection and Alerting system using FI NodeMCU
• Developed a fire detection system utilizing NodeMCU to monitor environmental conditions using
various sensors (LM35, DHT11, LDR, Ultrasonic, Soil Moisture, and ADXL335).
• Interfaced temperature and humidity sensors to detect potential fire conditions, uploading real-time
data to ThingSpeak cloud for continuous monitoring.
• Implemented threshold-based alerts that trigger email notifications when sensor values exceed preset
limits, facilitating rapid response to potential fire incidents.
• Utilized Arduino IDE for coding and programming the NodeMCU, ensuring efficient integration of
hardware components and sensor modules.
• Conducted extensive testing to validate system performance under various environmental conditions,
improving reliability and accuracy of fire detection.
• Collaborated with a team of 4 to design and develop the project, enhancing teamwork and project
management skills.
Vehicle Speed Detection using Arduino and IR Sensors
• Collaborated with a team of 4 members to develop a vehicle speed detection system utilizing Arduino
UNO and IR sensors to measure and monitor vehicle speeds in real time.
• Implemented two IR sensors (IR LED and photodiode) to create a timing mechanism that accurately
calculates vehicle speed based on the time taken to cross the sensors.
• Designed a user-friendly interface to display speed readings on a 16x2 LCD screen, providing clear
visibility for monitoring vehicle speeds.
• Integrated a buzzer alert system to notify users of overspeeding vehicles, enhancing road safety by
prompting immediate action.
• Programmed the Arduino to manage sensor data, calculate speeds, and control display and alert functions.
• Conducted rigorous testing to validate the system’s accuracy and reliability across various vehicle types
and speeds.
• Documented the project with detailed specifications, circuit diagrams, and results, showcasing effective
communication and technical proficiency.
