Mr. Alvarado is a civil and systems engineer with business and field engineering experience. His career began as a civil/construction engineer for road reconstruction projects in partnership with Ministry of Transport and Communications of Peru. As a system engineer, Mr. Alvarado developed, managed, and implemented the project upgrade of the Computer and Media Center for multiple projects in the Peruvian Army. For system projects, Mr. Alvarado provided consultation, cost estimate, construction management, and service support in civil, electrical and system engineering for the last 40 years. As a Field Engineer, Mr. Alvarado was involved in multiple projects for Construction and transportation management. Recent experience includes inspection/overseeing the progress of BART A-Line and C-Line 34.5 KV cable and Fiber Optic Replacement project, inspection and supervision of the completion of Critical Safety Test Procedures for AirTrain Extension Project of the Automatic People Mover system at the San Francisco International Airport; the inspection and supervision for Site Investigation Work at the A77 Interlocking at Bart Hayward workshop, inspection and supervision for LED Retrofit installation to BART Parking structures. Field System/Civil Engineer (Construction management - Inspector): April 2022 – Present

Mr. Alvarado performs inspections, monitors project progress, prepares performance reports, verifies compliance of each phase and milestone of the project, verifies deliverables of the project. In addition, he monitors the cost and schedule of the different project activities: field surveys, soil grading, installation of cable- channels, cable-trays, cable conduits, and the cable laydown, pull, splice, test of each 34.5KV circuit.

BART LED Retrofit project to parking structures.

Mr. Alvarado conducted inspections to LEDs installation process following the BART and project safety and performance requirements into each established phase

Field System/Civil Engineer (Construction management- Inspector) Mr. Alvarado conducted inspections and confirmed completion of the ceiling Renovation at the Powell Street Bart Station during no revenue hours. Project team had the responsibility to install new electrical circuits, new lights with remote-control devices and new ceiling frames.

SFO Air Train Extension

Mr. Alvarado conducted inspections and confirmed the completion of the safety Dynamic and Static Test Procedures for Air Train Extension project for Automatic People Mover (APM) system that includes Automatic Train Control (ATC), Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Operation (ATO) and Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) subsystems which included the Region 1(North side) and Region 2

(Terminal Area) of the whole guideway.

Commercial and Residential Cost Estimation Services: Project Manager/System Engineer / Cost Estimator /Inspector: Jan 1982 – Dec 2022 Mr. Alvarado conducted multiple cost estimations for large civil construction and IT projects. System Manager for Santillana Publish (Peru): Jul 1997 – Dec 2000 Mr. Alvarado managed the data Center of the headquarters in Lima- Peru and developed GUI user interface for administration and account applications which included: Accounting, inventory control, procurement control with the VPN connection with branch in Trujillo and Arequipa to allow real time data update. System Manager at the Contraloria de la República (Peru): May 1995 - Jun 1997 Mr. Alvarado conducted migration of the Mainframe Computer Data Processing Center from PL/3 platform to new Oracle database platform and developed GUI user end. This project included the installation of new hardware and software administration and end user interface which included the developing, testing, implementation, and training process of the GUI software. Mr. Alvarado also conducted the digitization of millions of documents from different departments and regions which required to be organized accurately in the new data base platform to support the requirements of Peruvian System Control.
