United States Navy Strike Group Oceanography Team, Norfolk, VA

Performed daily data analysis and interpretation of large datasets in the form of aerial observations, oceanographic charts and maps, climatology, and data warehouses, utilizing data libraries and predictive models to forecast weather and advise mission commanders, enabling them to make more informed decisions.

Utilized military data visualization software similar to Tableau to support weather forecasting presentations daily. For example, conducted sonar performance predictions using oceanographic data, resulting in the creation of a 3D field visualization tool. This tool allows users to select a point on a map and instantly assess underwater visibility and communication effectiveness from our current location.

Regularly conducted live weather forecast presentations for senior leadership both in person and via Microsoft: TEAMS, integrating robust data analysis to provide actionable insights. For instance, during a presentation where a tropical storm threatened our training area, I recommended altering ship navigation based on my analysis, ensuring operational safety and efficiency.
