I have been working as a preschool prep TA part time, monday-friday, since July 2023. I have been in
infant-preschool classes
as an aide but I am mainly with preschoolers. is my first time working so
it is hands on learning for myself. I've seen development within the time I've been here so far. Things I do
that helps out the lead teacher is change there diapers, help during activities, engage during playtime
with the children, clean classrooms, discipline when needed, help a child get their bags/food, feed them.
I also work with kids who have disabilities, I never thought I would work with them but I love helping
them out, seeing them develop and trying to work with their peers. i accomplished understanding for
building good relationships with the children. Better verbal communication skills for motivating children
to learn and listen. active listening skills to understand the childrens' needs. The patience and the ability
to remain calm in stressful situations.
