Sr. Hardware Engineer/Obsolescence Engineer

Providing satellite ground operations and sustainment for the government customer.

Installed and integrated components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, and workstations often at customer facilities.

Performed proprietary telemetry collection test efforts with Lockheed Martin teammates and with military.

Evaluated, monitored and troubleshot telemetry collection to ensure correct satellite/antenna performance.

Worked with antenna maintenance team to troubleshoot hardware that was broken and was not producing telemetry for the customer. Determined root cause, researched, purchased and tested the hardware under rigorous time pressure and installed the parts to ensure the telemetry collection problem was solved.

Installed, maintained, and troubleshot hardware terminal, antennae and control unit components of satellite simulation system to ensure telemetry could be collected for mission purposes.

Commenced training to learn satellite simulation operational test and support efforts, supported test and monitoring efforts and telemetry collection events with government military customer and high profile internal customers and other stakeholders to ensure successful test objective execution and 100% mission fulfillment and success.

Worked with engineering perform troubleshooting and testing of hardware to ensure equipment functioned efficiently and resolved problems with as close to 0 downtime as possible.

Performed Lead Test Engineer duties for the high profile redundancy team and have developed, integrated, and processed offline test database test scripts for important flight software uploads. Ensure 100% testing requirement document updates/changes and confirm all possible failure and false positive scenarios are incorporated in appropriate use case execution.

Worked in lab with support of software personnel to close out between 400 and 500 different Discrepancy Reports (DR’s) through testing and verification process that minimized system downtime.

Cooperated with Quality Assurance to make sure work was done in accordance with processes.

Performed an end of life study to determine how to replace Servers coming to End of Sales. Determined we needed to replace 340 servers and solicited a quote worth approximately $11 million.

Researched specifications and pricing of the Hardware components of servers to ensure compliance with current requirements and parameters. Prepared new specifications, evaluated the vendors, and analyzed test reports to perform this research.
