JOBS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for monitoring the status of Boiler and all relevant systems on a continuous basis.

Responsible for the manipulation of control parameters or the startup/shutdown of facilities or equipment to meet the required output based on Load.

Provide instructions to Local operators on what to accomplish operational activities during their shift.

Confirm Operation status of Boiler facilities on all systems after shift turn-over.

Operate the plant in the most economical and efficient manner; maintain the high plant efficiency, reliability, and availability.

Respond immediately to process the upset conditions; applies quick fix, and analyses the root causes of problems, determine the most appropriate corrective measure.

Perform other tasks/ functions that may be assigned from time to time.

Responsible for observing, noting, and interpreting readings on gauges, meters, etc., and ensure proper functioning of the boilers.

Ensure regular maintenance of the equipment.

Responsible for maintaining daily logs of maintenance, operations, test results, instrument readings, repairs, etc., and assure that everything is as per the specifications set, to ensure effective functioning of the equipment.

Identifies any problems with plant equipment and clearly communicates the conditions associated with these problems to the monitoring team.

Monitors the completeness of shift round checklists, routine daily/weekly/monthly test checklists and equipment change-over checklists,etc.

Monitors all alarms in the area, and reports all abnormalities to take immediate action.

Monitoring and observation of fault finding, problems solving,and first line maintenance ensuring that work is carried out to the appropriate standards.

Conduct and report on engineering, chemistry and managerial analyses of performance related issues and identify key indicators of unit performance.

Make recommendations to station management and operations department to reduce costs and optimize unit performance.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:

B.E.in Mechanical Engineering from Mahendra Engineering College at Namamkkal, of Aggregate 76 % year 2008 - 2012.Affiliated to Anna University (1st class)

CERTIFICATION AND TRAINING:

PGDC Certificate in Thermal Power Plant Engineering from National Power Training Institute, Ministry of Power, Government of India in 2013.
