Police Service Technician 2014 – Present
Serve to help keep police officers available to respond to calls for service by allowing citizens to make police reports over the telephone to the TeleServe Unit. Working in this unit requires familiarity with the CAD system in order to receive calls from service from the Hamilton County 911 Center. Frequently, citizens contact this unit to report further information not immediately available during the reporting process and the unit creates supplemental reports which are forwarded to detectives and officers for follow-up.
Police Radio Dispatcher 1999 - 2014
Served as a Police Radio and Fire Dispatcher. Responsible for various tasks from answering calls to 911 and creating event cards on the computer aided dispatch system (CAD) to determining which police units to assign to respond to calls, determining which fire units to send to fire calls and also to garner resources needed by fire units to provide an effective response to fire grounds as determined by the Fire Commander.
This position requires proficiency in listening as well as determining what has happened and to create and send the event to the correct dispatcher. While dispatching, to update the event with information received from the scene from officers and to update the event and the officer's availability status.
HAMILTON COUNTY NURSING HOME
Director of Admissions 1995- 1999
Serving patients by conducting evaluations of patient eligibility and financial qualification for admission to the facility. Maintain constant knowledge of available beds to serve both long-term and skilled patient needs. Worked closely with families, insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid to fund patient care.
