Processed manual charges or billings to firms’ accounts; reconciled firms’ accounts, made adjustments and reversals using the account receivable feature on PeopleSoft software; assisted in resolving account and registration issues of broker dealers and brokerage firms.
I worked closely with the finance and reports departments by processing state checks, and invoices for adhoc reports. I communicated with FINRA member firms (brokerage firms) regarding failed Web CRD firm notifications, exam window closures, licenses, account delinquencies and provided instruction to resolve the problems with accordance to FINRA and SEC rules. Generated manual reports (broker checks) for firms. Correspondingly, I reviewed broker comments in order to promote integrity in trade and, created U5 amendments filings to terminate brokers for member firms.
I worked closely with the disclosure department by reviewing brokers disclosed information and updating their information on FINRA’s broker check website for firms and clients to have access to their information in order to promote fair trade. Reviewed brokers and brokerage firm registrations and made sure that they had the right licenses permitting them to do business, if not, registered brokers for the required exams ensuring with the qualifications department that a window has been opened with proctor, and assessing brokerage firms’ registration fees. Equally, I generated dunning letters to notify FINRA member, non-member and IARD firms of their account balances. Prepared documents with sensitive data for scanning into the document management system, and reported errors. Updated address changes, generated snapshots, made social security corrections and duplicate information due to fingerprint posting error on registered individuals records. Updated fingerprint status for both registered and non-registered fingerprint persons and assessed firms fingerprint charges as well.
