Drove the Redesign, implemented Fee processing application.

Redesign was done to obtain maximum performance gains as current design was placing business at risk. Employing Java API’s created Web Services to access data areas and execute cross platform commands.

The new system has averted risk and provided a robust framework for future growth.

Using RPG/IV ILE, and SQL, successfully re-designed and developed a Global JDE data extraction system for the Purchasing Department.

As the designer and developer for the JDE extraction process was required to create functional and detail specifications, perform all of the programming, debugging, testing and implementation.

This process was designed to dynamically build open query statements, FTP data from 38 different AS400’s, to an Oracle database with an IIS Web server frontend. My role was full spectrum; from project management through training in a multi-cultured global environment.

Also performed development in the BPCS supply chain management application – demand and supply planning.

Project: Operating System Upgrade & New Terminal Emulation

Responsibilities:

Research and evaluation of the different releases of OS/400 operating systems, and present selection to senior management for approval.

Coordinate and schedule the activities to upgrade 14 AS/400s to OS/400 V3R2 worldwide. This responsibility required working with the operational, application, user, and quality control communities.

Research and evaluate 5250 terminal emulation packages for Intels and Macintoshes.

Implementation of 5250 terminal emulation software, using Micro Softs SMS. This responsibility required working with the Telecommunication and Desktop Support departments

This process was designed to DDM data from the UK in daily basis and create Senior Management sales reports.
