Would do daily activities with the patients. Always made sure to keep them entertained and their mind busy. We played bingo which was always, the go-to thing, that they all loved to do. Arts and crafts. Movie and popcorn day. Desert and coffee social. Game day, where we set up different games so everyone could play and take turns besides card games we also had play bowling or corn hole. Water play day outside in the courtyard while enjoying a BBQ. Ice cream social making delicious sundaes or root beer floats. Once a week they got to pick one place to order food from so they can enjoy a meal from outside the facility. Once a month we would have a monthly Birthday party to celebrate whoevers birthday was that month with decorations and cake of course. And of course we would have a movie and nail day so the ladies (even the men) could get their nails painted. It was a fun job I really enjoy it. Certified Nursing Assistant

Being a CNA is a career I'm glad I chose. Of course I want to further my career and become a LPN or RN but either way I love taking care of people. I love putting a smile on my patients face when I walk into the room because they know that as soon as they see me they will be properly taken care of and just being able to have a nice conversation with them or vice versa makes me happy knowing they can always count on me no matter what.
