Duties and Responsibilities:
Successfully designed and developed the introductory courses for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Course for Warrant Officer and Enlisted ranks in a joint environment and coordinated with the Doctrine, Training, Education, and Integration Branch to publish both courses on time for the first training session which ensured minimal impact on student training. Conducted sixteen classes as the course manager graduating over 200 students and managed the CBRN Military Occupational Specialty Course Program by instructing, scheduling classes, registering students, and assigning periods of instruction to nine Course Instructors. Responsible for evaluating the performance of instructors and provided counseling to improve the quality of training for students. Developed an electronic standard End of Course Critique that was adopted by the Marine Corps Detachment which streamlined the routing process, saved resources, and provided an electronic database that could be used for identifying trends so improvements could be made to the course. Successfully managed the Chemical Surety program for the Marine Corps Detachment in support of the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and the Fort Leonard Wood Command Surety Office.

Managed the maintenance program for over 15,000 pieces of Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, and Radiological (CBRN) items to include recommending improvements for storage, repair, and product design. Responsible for the unit’s budget expenditures and supervised all aspects of administration, operations, maintenance, and training. Successfully managed three Joint Service Assessments of over 1,000 individual CBRN items in three different countries and coordinated across department lines with the US Army and US Air Force. Managed and coordinated the CBRN training program for all services to ensure proper maintenance procedures were followed and supervised and conducted monthly evaluations on the Joint Equipment Assessment Unit personnel, both military and civilian, on the performance of their assigned duties. Managed and supervised the maintenance management program to include the accountability, calibration, preventive maintenance, and reporting of the unit's unique and complex mix of mission essential CBRN and commercial off the shelf equipment. Assisted the Joint Equipment Assessment Program Office in analyzing assessment data and developing recommendations for improved care, maintenance, storage procedures, technical manuals, and current/future product design.

Successfully trained and managed work assignments for over 20 Marines in the CBRN Program. Successfully established the 1st Marine Logistics Group CBRN inspection program by reviewing, validating, and updating orders and procedures while conducting 7 inspections on subordinate units as part of the Commanding General's Inspection Program. Developed, authored, and published the CBRN Standard Operating Procedures for conducting Individual Protective Equipment training and exercises. Successfully managed the maintenance program for over $1.5m of CBRN equipment in a combat environment. Coordinated the identification and decontamination of a suspected biological attack while deployed in support of military operations abroad. Coordinated cross-boundary movements with coalition force units into and out of the unit’s battle space as the Combat Operations Center Watch Chief and coordinated requests for logistical support to include recovery of personnel and equipment, transportation, and materials distribution. Managed the reporting process for over 350 significant events including Improvised Explosive Device finds/attacks and Friendly/enemy Killed in Action. Processed the reporting of more than 500 other reportable events. Successfully tracked, reported, and coordinated a personnel casualty recovery event lasting 15 days. Successfully consolidated an inventory of 13,700 items worth over $2m. Successfully led a team in validating CBRN equipment with the authorized control number table and re-distribution to four separate camps.
