I drove the forklift to pick up paper stacked pallets for the feeders. Each paper stacked pallet was made with different material. I would ask the operator behind the feeders the amount they need and type of material is required. Then I’ll unwrap the material, check for damages like scratches, dents etc. Send it to a Skid Turner, and take out any type of plastic pieces or other foreign objects from the stack. Next I’ll switch the wood pallet and replace it with a hard plastic pallet. Lastly I’ll use the pressure blower to dust all the remaining pieces and dust from the paper stack, and I’ll use a pallet jack to ship it to the feeder operator.

I had to drive around on a ride on pallet jack(where the forks are located behind me instead of forward) and locate the materials that were ready for shipping. That included case goods, (dressers, bed boards, nightstands) and upholstery furniture (couches, recliners, mattresses). Each item had their own barcode. I had to scan them with the scanner that tells how many of each item to pickup and load them onto a plate on the pallet jack.After I get all the items, I would go to the checkout stage where a ticket is printed out, then lastly I’ll drop off the loaded plate to the area where the loaders scan the ticket.
