Responsibilities & Job Scopes

Perform routine alarm clearance if any Mini link Traffic Node alarms arise & site failure via SOEM from NOC Station.

Also monitoring integration for new site and swap activity for Mini link Traffic Node from SOEM to make sure all DCN, OSPF, E1 Cross connection, Ethernet configuration and Radio Configuration is following specification.

Perform knowledge transfer to WIND NOC team (6 person) and 2nd level support team (6 person) about Mini link Traffic Node capability and troubleshooting from SOEM platform (remote). Configuration management and configuration tools how to make a cross connection, loops and etc.

Define database backup timing for Element Manager to securing configuration have been made using UNIX program and also create new user in to SOEM.

Introduce them about SOEM menu’s item, and using short cuts editing applies to SOEM solution for more details on NE family specific features.

Standby at SOEM for Mini link Traffic Node alarm monitoring during daytime and Standby at SOEM during Mini link Traffic Node cutover or swap activity in progress. -Prepare, edit & re-check script, loading the script to Node B and saving configuration for backup.

-Do test call and Internet browse test after integration done.

-Configure and test external alarms follow the specifications.

-Troubleshooting and solving problem of Node B & Mini Link after testing & commissioning.

Feeder test using S331D Site Master, final check for Alarms, pre acceptances and final acceptances.

Involve in installation, testing and commissioning of NEC Paso link.

Operation And Maintenance Engineer RBS 2216/2116, and Mini Link Traffic Node

Responsibilities & Job Scopes

Responsible in Ericsson RBS 2116 & RBS 2216 and Mini Link Traffic Node Operation & Maintenances in Kampala and Jinja Area.

The task include troubleshooting and solving problem, locate and fix alarms, and find card faults using Element Manager on site for Ericsson RBS 2116 & RBS 2216 and Mini Link Traffic Node.

Responsible on the network to make sure all the RBS perform in good condition & attended any alarms arise & site failure, with the respond time less than 3 hours.

Supervised and arrange work for 3 Sub-Contractor Team (15 person) during new site Installation.

Support conduct for Sub-contractor training on site and monitoring the new sites work progress.

Sites Acceptance Test and site clearing for the material leftover after the site integration completed.

Prepare report of the sites status and failure RBS and transmission for weekly meeting.

Ready on 24 hours standby for attending faults.

Responsibilities & Job Scopes

Responsible for Installation, Testing Commissioning and Integration of RBS 2216, 2116 and putting the site on air.

Responsible for loading IDB site configuration using OMT software R33_6 both for 900 &1800 MHz.

Troubleshoots any technical problems during and after Integration

Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Ericsson HC/TN AMM 2P, AMM 6P, AMM 20P Mini-link Traffic Nodes for Transmission.

Performances feeder test for VSWR and BER test using site master & DTA

Responsible to arrange site material delivery from warehouse to site

Supervised and arrange work for ASP team during RBS Installation and maintenance.

Also involved in installation of rectifier (Emerson Actura) with batteries.

Involved in test and troubleshoot external alarms.
