My current position and title is Claims Customer Service Representative. I currently work for their Blue Shield of California health department. My duties include but not limited to are Basic customer service and care for the members of the Individual Family Plan PPO department. I assist members with making payments, understanding their benefits, tech support for the website member’s portal, reinstating and termination of thier accounts, going over their explanation of benefits, reviewing claims from providers, and assisting with an understanding of how the claim was paid, and reprocessing claims that were not properly billed, which would include reaching out to the billing departments of those providers or escalating it inside the company.
