Newrez, an online-only mortgage lender serving customers in all 50 states, acquired Computershare Loan Services in 2024.

DEVOPS DEPLOYMENT ENGINEER

Fulfill the system administration functions for all Computershare loan data integrated into Newrez’s infrastructure following the acquisition. Function as a system expert on Control-M, CyberArk, ABCpdf installations, and Sumo Logic views and accounts.

Migrated data and loans to Newrez’s systems following its acquisition of Specialized Loan Servicing (SLS) from Computershare. Collaborated with IT and business teams to develop and execute migration plans and timelines.

Decommissioned Computershare systems that were no longer needed.

Australia-based global market leader in a range of financial and governance services for public and private companies; in 2019, Computershare purchased LenderLive’s loan services division.

DEVOPS DEPLOYMENT ENGINEER – JUL 2020 – MAY 2O24

Created and supported environments and systems in a Windows / SQL Server environment, enabling developers supporting Computershare Loan Services to integrate internally created code and interface with third-party applications to release new applications. Spearheaded Control-M upgrades, managed CyberArk password maintenance to ensure adherence to company security policies, handled ABCpdf and Credco certificate installs, and managed / updated Sumo Logic views and accounts. Oversaw Octopus, SBO 2000.NET, and Log4J Remediation. Fostered and maintained strong partnerships with vendors and monitored their ongoing efforts.

Led the months-long effort to upgrade Control-M, a 24x7 scheduling tool. Requested new servers, partnered with a vendor to upgrade 4 pre-production and production environments, migrate data to the newest version, and perform data testing and validation. Implemented constant monitoring.

oEarned companywide recognition for completing the migration within a tight deadline, enabling the seamless operation of the jobs running all the company’s revenue streams.

Collaborated with a vendor to convert loan accounting from SBO 2000 to SBO.NET. Completed ongoing monthly database updates to accommodate code updates.

Resolved a latency issue by moving a key server to a different data center; stood up new servers, reinstalled critical application software, and pointed everything toward the new server location.

Maintained approximately 1,200 servers in a distributed data environment. Responded to system alerts and application issues, following company policies for working with confidential financial data.

Migrated SFTP transfers from LenderLive to Computershare. Collaborated closely with tenured Computershare staff to transfer data and ensure adequate firewalls to fulfill the strict security requirements of large banks, such as Chase and Bank of America.

Contacted vendors and clients and talked them through opening firewall ports to enable communication.

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Collaborated with a team to maintain ~1,200 servers across 3 data centers and support end users of production, development, QA, and test enterprise systems. Oversaw monitoring and alerting systems (SolarWinds) and made changes to memory, hard drive size, and processors to optimize functionality. Pushed software releases to Citrix desktops, enabling user testing. Tracked system and application performance and made adjustments to optimize performance while ensuring consistent system and application security.
