Walking Leak Survey: Under PG&E Crew Leaders Using Flame Ionization Unit (FIU) and CGI. While walking alone Inspect dwellings and structure on every street that has a gas main for leaks. Performed and documented all safety checks of outside meters. Checked for atmospheric corrosion on all service risers. Reported any buried meters. Checked gas mains for leaks checked vents for proper installation and no blockage. Surveyed with Flame Ionization Unit (FIU) attached to vehicle which were conducted in either business and residential areas and survey conducted at 2 to 10 mph as closely over gas main as possible.
