• Industrial Trane Chiller maintenance, and servicing. Making sure all 3 screw compressors on each package are working well and have enough oil, and no abnormal vibration.

Dairibord Zimbabwe is the leading dairy products producer in Zimbabwe which processes raw milk to finished products. As a Refrigeration Mechanic, my job was very demanding in this industry because of the perishable product. My duties included;

• Ammonia Plants maintenance (single and two stage with sabroe screw and reciprocating compressors) which is ensuring all components are working very well and safely.

• Ice dam controls monitoring (Chilled water plant) and adding Brine solution as secondary refrigerant.

• Sabroe Screw (UniSab iii) and Sabroe reciprocating compressors (12 cylinders) oil filters changing, piston rings and compression rings inspection and replacement, discharge and suction valve inspection and replacement if faulty.

• Mobile trucks servicing, which is changing of filter driers, brazing of cracked pipes, flaring of pipes, evaporator fans and contactor changing, fuse changing and belts tensioning (Carrier, Transfig and Thermo-King )

• Compressed air driers refrigerant checks, leak inspections and electrical connections tightening.

• Installation and maintenance of Ammonia refrigeration compressors KCX-6 (180HP), Low Pressure Air Compressors (Chicago pneumatics and Kirloska two stage compression 120HP) and High Pressure Air Compressors (Chicago pneumatics three stage compression 335HP). Changing of Burnt out solenoids coils, cleaning of solenoids valves, replacement of piston rings and compression rings in the mentioned above machines. Mechanical seal replacement on Refrigeration compressors if faulty. Oil changing in those compressors.

• Office air conditioners installation and maintenance that is cleaning filters, checking running pressures and condenser cleaning.

• Responsible for air driers and machines air conditioners maintenance and services.

• Propylene Glycol mixing and adding to the system, and glycol pumps replacement and their electric motor testing.

• Ammonia refrigerant charging in industrial refrigeration plant after noticing a low level on sight glass

• Responsible for ammonia charging and propylene glycol mixing.

• Ammonia Plate Heat Exchangers gasket replacement when leaking.
