Game Operations Staff
In this company, we have managed a game in the company called Luminary: Rise of the Goonzu. The game still exists to this day, it is same age as Ragnarok online when the game released more than 20 years ago. This is where I get the biggest break where I used to communicate with its players for support., managed all of their events in game, testing updates, bugs and glitches before the release and detecting hackers and bots in the game. Monitoring is another task we usually do most of the time to check the MCU and the CCU of the game. I left the company because of the pandemic and avoiding to take risk when it comes to my health. Internet Gaming Solutions and Consulting Philippines, Ortigas Center, Pasig City – February 2017 – July 2017 - Game Master
I’ve applied here as a Game Master with the great experience working in this company. Most of the time, I do monitoring duties and tasks with different games that the company handle. We also report issues to the developers and checked the game and communities if it is a legitimate issue within the game. We also check all the games if it’s accessible or not. We also check all the game if there will be maintenance posted and spread the news to the people so they can be informed right away. I also do notification posts so the players will also be informed right away. We also create game reports and trend files and uploaded through their own uploaded site. Also in this company, they offer customer service, community management and quality assurance services. I have a great time working with these great people and having friends with but the time to spend working here didn’t last long. UTH 702, Polaris Center, Makati City – May 2016 – February 2017 Viral Marketer / Game Master / Game Support Representative I came to this establishment outside the food industry. I applied here as a Game Master or Game Support Representative but unfortunately I don’t have enough experience. According to my manager, I must start working as a Viral Marketer to gain experience working in this industry. At first glance, I was very excited but anxious at the same time because of working in a new environment. I made a lot of adjustments especially the tasks that you’ve handled and managed by the team leader. My tasks here are promoting and collaborating with different groups and pages using Facebook and Youtube to search for channels that can support these mobile games from South Korea. We also test these mobile games before we release and publish them to the global market. While doing the Viral Marketing task, I also do customer service for players who are playing that particular mobile game. We also have access for the Helpdesk. We use this for answering all the players’ inquiries like game bugs, hacking, billing and others. We also answer all the reviews from Google Play whether it’s positive or negative. The staffs were very polite and friendly at the same time. I’m having a wonderful time working in this environment. The only problem is that the time going here and back is not definitely worth the time. It takes two to three hours going to work and also back home for another two hours just for commuting. Also, isn’t worth my current salary working in this 2
establishment even if I be promoted. Overall, a great experience but commuting time going here and back and salary not so great.
