Drug Awareness Volunteer: Stem ECHS
During high school, I volunteered helping my local elementary school by teaching children the dangers of drug use. I helped organize and set up the classrooms and also assisted the guest speakers to prepare, by making copies, and running errands.
Stonewall Senior Walk: Stonewall Flanders Elementary
After graduating from high school, I volunteered to do a senior walk for my elementary school, where we had the opportunity to share our experience in taking college courses while still in high school and share the opportunities that are available to them when they go to high school. We shared our experiences and answered questions about what to expect.
PROJECTS
Biology Key Assignment: A Group Final Project
Working on this group project taught me how to manage my time and lead a group of my peers in gathering information about how diseases spread and how we can take steps to prevent them from spreading. It taught me the importance of communication and how to delegate the gathering of information and how to work together to prepare and document what we learned to discuss and share with our class.
