Hello, I’m Abigail. I’m an animal lover, a family person, currently engaged, I enjoy going outside, shopping, writing, criminal justice TV shows, realistic fiction, computers, research, DIY fixing whenever I’m in a pinch, math and numbers. I also like to put myself up to challenges. At work, my ethics are: Punctuality, efficiency, respectfulness, motivation, determination, becoming more skilled and knowledgeable of my job’s responsibilities, whether it’s in my personal job description or other positions. I’m more of a visual and tactile learner overall, but it varies. As a tactile worker, I feel it is much better when working with my hands than just listening to instructions, in other words, trying things out for myself while being guided until I truly feel comfortable on my own. I am very cautious about my making mistakes, and I have epilepsy and anxiety, so that often causes me to be a little slower than others in the beginning, but once I fully understand something, I catch on quick and can basically do it with my eyes closed. It always feels rewarding knowing what I’m capable of, not only for my own benefit, but others as well. Work Experience
Server/Customer Service Representative/shift lead
Pizza Hut-Saint Paul, MN
October 2018 to September 2024
I was originally hired as a server at the Falcon Heights Pizza Hut store since they had a dine-in and they did not have a server at the time for quite a while. When I was hired, I kept the dining room as clean and neat as possible before and after settling down customers, either giving them a menu or ringing up their order up front to prepay. I always made sure the dine in customers had their drinks and utensils ready, and I served them up with a friendly smile and positive and docile attitude. Then, in May 2020, I switched to the Uptown Pizza Hut store in Minneapolis, where I was a customer service representative, since this store did not have a dine-in and I was neither a cook, manager or driver. After learning over the years how to do nearly every part of the job, from cooking to cleaning to mastering the cut table to dispatching drivers to answering phone calls from customers and the Pizza Hut customers, learning inventory and working with old and new computer systems, by March 2024 I was officially in the system as a shift manager.
Deli Associate
Nelson Cheese and Deli-Saint Paul, MN
September 2018 to October 2018
I worked at Nelson’s Cheese and Deli on the sandwich line, as well as making boxes, moving and refilling produce from downstairs in the store, always serving up customers with a smile and a positive attitude, always polite, respectful, having small talk and giving out compliments even about the customer’s food sometimes (which I would never have done if I didn’t mean it), also cleaning around the store when asked with no hesitation, and I was willing to stay late during my shifts. I really liked the job, unfortunately due to the 2 week trial period I was not up to par in terms of speed, and I admit, it was kind of crushing. However, the managers made it clear I was NOT fired, but that I was let go, and they acknowledged my work ethic and attitude was wonderful, in their words. They had said to use them as a reference, so that was what I have done ever since and will continue to do so. Barista/Cashier
Fresh Grounds-Saint Paul, MN
May 2017 to June 2017
I brewed coffee, lattes, Americanas, tea (hot and cold), hot chocolate, prepared both hot and cold meals such as sandwiches and soups. I was also put on front end. When I wasn’t doing any of those things and wasn’t on break, I cleaned and swept the store and tidy up whatever I could while it was slow and nothing needed to be done immediately. I kept myself busy and helped keep the store in good shape. The reason for me only working for 1 month was because it was part of a job offer at my school for adults ages 18-21 with special needs and looking for ways to find and build our careers. Volunteer Sales Associate
Arc’s Value Village-Saint Paul, MN
February 2017 to May 2017
I volunteered for this job offered by my school in 2017, where I would neatly and carefully stock a wide variety of items— toys, shoes, accessories, kitchenware, household items, fine glass, books, anything sold there, as well as folding clothes straight from the donation bags. It was a nice, peaceful and nostalgic store, I enjoyed being there. Since this was a volunteer job offer at my school, I only worked there for a few months because the position had ended.
