Farmer Brothers is one of the largest Coffee, Tea, Spices, and a variety of restaurant products companies in the country. We service a variety of accounts out of our Oklahoma City branch. When Covid-19 shut down my Book shows, I bought a Voortman Cookie route. After running my route for seven months, Hostess bought out Voortman and decided to direct ship all the product to the stores. As an independent owner, I was bought out by Hostess.

Putt-Putt Golf and Recreation Center
I owned a Putt – Putt Golf and Recreation Center in Norman, Oklahoma. In the summer of 1988, we built a Putt-Putt Golf and Recreation Center that covered 4 and a half acres on I-35 and 24th street. Our facility included 3 eighteen hole miniature golf courses, a 3500 sq. ft. gameroom and party rooms, 6 Batting cages, 2 sand filled volleyball courts with a picnic area, Bumper Boats, and a half mile Go Cart Track. We invested $1.2 million dollars in this project. It paid for itself in the first 5 years. After 7 years of being in business, competition throughout the Oklahoma City area, made it hard to experience the success that we had in the early years of operation. We sold the land and will always remember the good old days.
Real Estate Agent / Broker
January 1983 - July 1988
United Real Estate / Lots of Real Estate Norman, Oklahoma
I moved to Oklahoma in 1983 to begin my career in Real Estate. We developed a sub-division at 36th Street and Rock Creek in Norman called Prairie Creek. I was in charge of selling all the Lot’s to builders and then selling homes as they were built. I worked for United Real Estate in the beginning and then got my Brokers license and started my own company called Lot’s of Real Estate. During this time, I got to know a lot of the home builders and contractors as we developed the sub-division.
EDUCATION
I graduated High School in 1976. I went to Stratford High School in Houston, Texas.
I went to college on Baseball Scholarships. I was a pro prospect pitcher coming out of high school. I played my first year of baseball at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. In my second year, I was sent by the Philadelphia Phillies to a baseball college called Central Arizona College in Casa Grande, Arizona. In the off season I was in a very bad car accident and was told I would never play baseball again. I rehabilitated and got back into shape over the next 6 months. I was sent to Alvin College, just south of Houston, to see if I could pitch again. I was drafted in 1980 by the Phillies.
