Skills
I have a wide and diverse teaching background and have skills in administering many different types of programs. I have experience with teaching students one to one, small group settings, large group settings and co-ops. I was a homeschool teacher for 11+ years. I have coordinated field groups and parties ranging in size from five to over a hundred. I have taught all necessary curriculum as well as electives such as foreign languages, economics, and forensic science with kids from ages 2 to 18. I have taught English as a Second Language for 3 years holding an excellent rating. Before staying home to raise my children, I managed a small staff and many different community outreach programs. ●Program development for activities in STEAM, Literacy, SEL, Arts & Crafts, Nutrition, and Physical Activities. Compiled these developmentally appropriate activities and learning objectives into a Program Manual.
●Oversaw, directed, and implemented the accreditation process for the youth program to be the ninth AzCASE accredited OST center. Maintains requirements for accreditation.
●Ensure youth, family, and staff needs.
●MAintain communication with youth, families, Wesley staff, partnering agencies, and funders.
●Grant writer and manager for the youth program and the Wesley Community & Health Centers Community Services and Education Programs.
