Over 25 plus years in piping/mechanical design work Onshore/Offshore, responsibilities during the last 25 years of service have been,, managing design teams, drafting, design and validating and checking drawings, conducting plant layout, equipment layout,, and material quantities take offs. During the past 25 years of service, I have worked in the following capacities, Senior Designer, Lead Designer, utilizing the following skills and programs drafting, sketching, Smart Plant, Auto CAD, Navis Works, Cad Worx, Smart Plant, Isogen, Auto Plant, PDS, PDMS, E3D, MicroStation, Raster Cad, Plant 3D, Flex Cad, Cad Pipe, Plant 4D, Visio, Pro-Pipe, Pro-Iso, Bentley, Bluebeam Software, and Excel spreadsheets, working from home office and transferring to the field during construction. In the field continued onsite design of civil, structural, instrumentation and electrical layout and drawings.
DESIGN EXPERIENCE
Over my 25 years of service I have the following experience layout of design work, of process piping, vessels (nozzle orientation), tower design, trayed and packing towers, cryogenic (LNG), Nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, helium systems and vessels. Mechanical equipment design and layout of ladders, platforms, skid mounted expander gas units, and skidded modules. During the design phase I have designed and laid out Equipment orientation and completed one-line studies and pipe rack design and orientation for multiple projects. Several of the projects included designing of offsite facilities including crude/tank farms, pump stations, steam generation stations, cooling towers, chillers, flare stacks, knockout drums, storage and transfer stations, rail car, trucking, and ship (loading/offloading). Senior Designer/Checker, on site at project. Responsibilities included MOC’s and Hazops for entire plant.
