This is an extensive 13 week training program required by the state and Davita for new employees to complete before they can work independently on the floor with patient care.

I was a contract worker for Favorite Staffing in which I traveled to Oregon and worked in the ER at the Sky Lakes Hospital.
As an ER Tech I would assist the ER Dr's and Nurses in Trauma and non Trauma cases. I would assist in the assessments of the patients, hook them up to cardiac monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, O2 monitoring. I would cannulate pts for IV's and blood draws. I would perform STAT blood testing, POC blood labs and glucose testing and pregnancy testing via urine samples. I also performed 12 lead EKG 's on patients needing cardiac monitoring.
I also would test patients for rapid and PCR Covid testing, Strep, Flu and RSV. I was responsible for transporting all patient specimens to the lab following the proper lab specimens policy. I also would perform Ortho Glass Casting on the patients that the Dr's ordered splinting on. EMT-B

I had an opportunity to work a Government contract with the Unoccupied Children coming across the US borders.
We had medical tents on the Ft Bliss Army Base in which we did medical screening on All the Unoccupied kids coming to the US for a better life. I would help the Dr's perform intake medical screening on all the children between the ages of 7-17. We would perform COVID testing, Pregnancy testing, blood draws and physicals on the kids. I also was trained to properly administer vaccinations on the kids. As an EMT I also was responsible for triage and care for any emergency medical situations the kids were in Education
