Contract Accountant – Battle Creek, MI 2019 to Present
Contract Accountant for several companies needing interim help to bridge shortages created because of accounting personnel changes and new software installation projects.
Traffic Sign Manufacturing – National Sign & Signal Company, Battle Creek, MI 2015 to 2019
Accountant and Office Manager for a small manufacturer of Illuminated Traffic Signs. Sales were to Construction Contractors with Federal, State & Local Governments usually being the end user of the product.
GED & Adult Continuing Education Instructor – Federal Bureau of Prisons, 2004 to 2014
Senior Instructor of a GED and literacy skills classroom. Usually 12-18 students per 2-hour class period, 3 class periods per day. Performed new student assessments, designed individualized lesson plans, matched students with appropriate tutors, and performed ongoing review of student progress. For the Adult Continuing Education Program, in addition to teaching, I developed all program syllabuses, lecture outlines, and handouts for these classes. Thirty-three hundred students received certificates of completion in classes under my instruction.
CPA Exam Preparation Course Instructor – Becker CPA Review, Athens, GA 1990 to 2004
Senior instructor of a 17-week national CPA examination preparation course taught at the University of Georgia. Subjects covered in the class were financial accounting, cost and managerial accounting, business law, taxation – corporate and individual, corporate finance, and managerial economics as they relate to the CPA Exam.

Company controller for an industrial electrical contractor with offices in multiple states. Contracts were throughout North America, including Canada.
Cast Metals Industry – Midwest Metallurgical & Kurdziel Iron Industries 1978 to 1988
Started out as a college accounting intern and rose to the position of plant controller. One foundry was a wholly owned subsidiary of Detroit Stoker Company, the other was family owned.
