A young medical doctor and public health practitioner with nine (9) years’ experience (4 years national-level). Experienced in management positions: donor-funded programmes (Global Fund AIDS/TB/Malaria), PEPFAR (USAID, CDC), other health-oriented NGOs. Has held over five

(5) management positions in the public health space, sometimes simultaneously. An international trainer in data management and use, and proficient in health quality improvement. Experienced in emergency health preparedness, policy formulation and adoption, research, and grant and proposal writing. OBJECTIVES To serve the people of all communities through providing the best public healthcare services possible, through providing holistic solutions to healthcare challenges, integrating preventive and curative medicine in both communicable and non-communicable diseases. Technical Advisor – HIV Prevention Care and Treatment Support Zimbabwe Association of Church-Related Hospitals (ZACH) Head Office Provides project technical oversight for the PEPFAR/CDC funded HPCTS project worth USD 7 million annually across 83 health facilities in 5 provinces. Notable successes include: drafting all annual and supplementary plans, recently the LIFT-UP plan for HIV child estimates and case finding, supporting the National TB Programme to roll out Ultraportable X-rays and CAD AI for TB screening, representing ZACH and the MoHCC AIDS and TB Units at various international and national technical for a, rolling out of adolescent and youth friendly health clinics in 4 districts, advocating for the provision of cervical cancer LEEP machines, contributing to an over achievement in cervical cancer screening and treatment, and leading the technical application for the USAID SUPPORT TB grant and the CDC HPCTS continuation grant.

01/2021 – 12/2023

National Targeted Screening for Active TB (Tas4TB) Technical Lead Ministry of Health and Child Care Head Office (National TB Programme – NTP) Provided overall oversight of TB screening activities in the country across 10 provinces (65 districts and over 2000 health facilities) for the GFATM grant. Notable success are:

• Representing the country at the World Lung Conference, training healthcare workers in data management at international level

• Leading the concept note writing and application process for the TaS4TB Transition Plan to Global Fund which was approved

• Leading the revision of the National TB Management Guidelines (2023) and training material to align with international best practice

• Training of 10 provinces on TaS4TB, decentralization and scale-up of community- based TB screening, integrated with screening for NCDs – which led to the current spike in TB case notifications from the community from 8% to 16%

• Forging relationships with technical and funding partners to close the funding gap in the National Strategic Plan - over USD 6 million from OPHID for TB activities

• Participating in the development of the TB Research Priorities document leading to informing policy on TB research

• Managing funds over USD $2 million in the NFM3 grant aimed at improving TB screening services

• Reviewing the C19RM grant application writing process to the Global Fund successfully mobilizing USD $75 million

• Coordinated the groundwork for the introduction of computer-aided detection AI in TB screening

• Leading the pilot and roll out of the national TB Routine Data Quality Assessment tool by NTP leading to quality data for the Global TB Report

• Acting as the DOT and Training officer for the NTP, and Childhood TB Focal Person accepting (3) three roles in one person

National Childhood TB Focal Person

Ministry of Health and Child Care Head Office (National TB Programme – NTP) Provided oversight of childhood TB activities at the national level with notable achievements being: reviewing the childhood TB training material and guidelines and aligned with the latest guidance, re-introduction of mantoux, adoption of the use of stool to detect childhood TB, training of trainers in 11 provinces and the cascade of new guidance to all 65 Zimbabwean districts, re-engaging other departments and partners thereby mobilizing over 1 million USD for childhood TB, kicking off tailored mentorship visits that improved the national childhood TB case detection by 11% between March 2023 and September 2023, initiating and supporting research on child and adolescent TB and HIV, and represented the country internationally in childhood and adolescent TB fora particularly for south-to-south learning and policy adoption. 04/2022 - 08/2022

Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development (OPHID) Provided technical and training support to district teams in Mat South on planning for and provision of quality HIV and TB services. Used a data-driven approach to identify challenges and conduct root cause analyses to provide home-grown solutions.
