I have 25 years of experience using Linux distributions to include but not limited to Suse, RHEL, and Ubuntu. I have been using Ubuntu/ Xubuntu as my primary OS since 2009. As a government contractor I have been working on SPAWAR/NIWC projects since 2013 and have worked for the Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps. Worked on multiple C4ISR projects that have contributed and supported DCGS-MC, ARV, and CANES. Used virtual machines in both my personal and professional systems. This includes VirtualBox, VMWare, and ProxMox and dates back farther than 2013
Work Experience
Atlas Tech May 2023 – March 2024 Windows PowerShell Engineer
Part of a diverse team in multiple locations that developed software sustainment solutions for US Navy CANES project.
Installed and configured a server that hosted NIPR CANES sw 2.0.1.0 and NIPR/SIPR CANES sw 3.0.0.0. The team uses a CI/CD process with a DSU twice a week.
Mandex Inc April 2020 – March 2023 Software Integrator /SME II
Sole software integrator for a long-term open bid test bed used to develop improved Armored Recon Vehicles used by the United States Marine Corps.
Full stack software integration for NOTM, MUOS, JTCW, JBC-P Fob to vehicle and vehicle to vehicle communications.
Brought in GPL and GOTs software for network analysis, planning, troubleshooting, and inter-team communication. The software stack was hosted in VMWare ESXI 6.7 and 7.0 servers with STIG’d VMs ranging from 6.5 to 7.0.
Mentored an intern with DoD processes and network configuration of multi-casting, Vlans, and proper CUI labeling of TCL files. Involved with software configuration testing of functionality and requirements.
Implemented various software tools for troubleshooting CM and verifying network functionality. The Network On The Move development stack used to emulate a marine vehicle and forward operating base.
Worked with Linux based software that included JBC-P. Force Point OS and VMWare ESXI.
