Working with Families in the El Paso County, helping the parents understand all domains of development of their children. Helping the parents interact with the children through activities emphasized in the development domains. Helping understand the importance of family well-being and navigating them to needed resources. Assessing the children and updating their milestones. Project Vida- After School Program 10/2022-8/2024

I ran the afterschool program with Project Vida, we had two location in the 79924-zip code where we provided a education focused afterschool program. We focused on 40 developmental assets. Which included a Commitment to Learning, Empowerment, Positive Identity, and others. This position was one of the most complicated and challenging I have ever had, having over 30 registered youths in our program with an average of 15 kids per day in attendance, learning how to be a positive mentor, tutor, and counselor. The amount I learned while working with the kids can not truly be written in a short resume paragraph.

Plant Nursery 7/2023-12/2023

I currently work at Eastside Discount Nursery completing a multitude of tasks related to plant care. Transplanting many different species of plants and trees, matching with appropriate fertilizers and plant care. Labor intensive work spending all day in the sun. Was able to learn how to finish efficiently and stay productive all day to meet the demands of the job.

Work with permanent residents, in preparing for citizenship test, Work in civic exam, practice writing and reading English. Filling out and studying the N-400 application.

Annunciation House 11/2021-2022

Gave services to the families released from ice custody, specifically the families that had tested positive for COVID-19, tuberculosis, chicken pox, monkey pox or any other contagious disease. While the families were being quarantined at the designated rooms, we would do daily checkups on the families ensuring to addressing possible needs. It was anything from clothes, food, medicine, and sometimes books for the children. Ensured smooth departure by checking in with families and their departure schedule preparing backpacks with necessities for their travels.

While volunteering with Annunciation house it was clear the lack of basic supplies (hygienic products, medicine, clothes and shoes) so working with my local church I organized donations to be brought over to the families we were serving at A-house.
