CLASSIC CITY HIGH SCHOOL

Athens, GA

High School Diploma (May 2016)

My name is Cesar, in case you missed it on the top in bold, cap letters. I seek employment, mainly because society looks down on being homeless and I like paying the bills on time. I would like to find a long term job where I can improve my skills and meet new, amazing people who like to cooperate and help each other out along with a burning drive to succeed. I am a bit shy initially but it's only because I'm modest. I am courteous to others and like to help out when possible. I will put myself on the line for the right people and always willing to do what is necessary. I have many passions which are always alternating but the constant ones I enjoy are cooking, exercising, and sleeping. I like to be outside whether it’s by the water or surrounded by trees. It is the best when I combine them both. I enjoy stand up comedy. I’d like to become a comedian but for now I have bills to pay. I love games of all sorts from video games to chess to 8 ball pool. My family and friends are all I got and would like to keep gaining more so we could all have a meaningful experience. I love life and am blessed to be here. E X P E R I E N C E

Kubota Manufacturing of America, Jefferson, Ga / Oct 2023 - Sep 2024 It was around my birthday, I gifted myself this job. I am currently working here. I like the benefits they provide, arguably the best I have had. I like the security it provides, rumor has it they have never laid anyone off, even through COVID. I do wish the company structure was not so rigid, people tend to get stuck in one area often, I was one of said people. I also feel the growth rate is slow but it's definitely there. Every employee across the board gets the same pay to start but the problem is that not all the positions are the same. Experience, determination and strength is required for most positions and some only a handful of people can do them. I understand why they pay everyone the same, equality and all the good stuff but some of their grueling, complicated positions should be more compensated. The raises are yearly and are only cents on the dollar. While it’s not a bad job, I want a new experience where I can be seen as an individual and not just a company number. Pay : 42,000/yr

Trappeze Pub, Athens, Ga / Aug 2023 - Jan 2024

The same friend who got me into the hospital job helped me with this job. Football season gets wild in Athens and this restaurant, which happens to be one of the best downtown Athens, hired me seasonally to help with the load. I was a cook. I spent most of my time on the cold side prepping salads and cold dishes but spent some time on the flattop making sandwiches and frying up fries on the fry side. I also helped expedite orders when the proverbial poop hits the fan. When the football season was over my time came to an end but the experience was great. Pay: 18/hr

Gutierrez Remodeling, Athens, GA / Jan 2023 - Aug 2023 This is my pops business. He is a small contractor for all kinds of home renovations. He has spent nearly his whole life in the industry and can build a house, foundation up. I have worked with him at many points in my life but spent most of 2023 working for him. I learned more about painting, flooring, carpentry and cleaning up after the big heads. I enjoyed the work but my father and I always seem to butt heads. I had health issues arise and so I left in search of health insurance.

Final pay rate: 20/hr

Amazon Fulfillment Center MG3, Jefferson, GA / Dec 2021 - Dec 2022 I joined the ICQA department at the MGE3 fulfillment center. My shift started at 4:30am, it really made me prioritize my sleep. The ICQA department is in charge of inspecting and counting warehouse inventory. They taught 3 types of counting and problem solving for the department. I learned all four counts easily. The whole job was easy. The toughest part was waking up in the morning. Six months in I was promoted to ambassador which meant I was one of the guys training the new kids on the block. The experience here was alright but I had personal problems outside of work which led to me leaving and helping out my father with his business. Pay: 36,000/yr

Piedmont Athens Regional, Athens, GA / Jan 2018 - Dec 2021 I worked at Piedmont Athens Regional for close to 4 years. I enjoyed my time there. The healthcare system does make their employees feel heard and seen. Initially I started on day shift, helping patients and visitors get around the hospital. People tend to get lost in big buildings. Taking patients from point A to point B was the base of my job. One year in, I was promoted to night shift supervisor. It was the same as day shift with the addition of communicating with all the departments within the hospital. Overnight the main people I interacted with were the emergencies departments and some of the nursing units. I was part of the “LIFT TEAM” which means when patients were not mobile, usually obese or had broken bones, I would help nurses move the patients around for them to take care of them. Left because I decided the pay was not enough for me to stay working overnight. I enjoyed my experience and learned a lot but needed a new experience.

Final pay rate: 36,000/yr

Carter Lumber, Oakwood, GA / Jun 2017 - Dec 2017

I worked for Carter Lumber for a few months. It was my second job. The facility was not in good condition but the pay was alright for a second job. Initially started off working with a group of 3 people to build trusses. They are the frames which sit on every house/barn. Three months in, I got a raise and became the head of my own table and group. I left because the conditions and coworkers were not good. This place made me sweat, which I don’t mind but overall not the best experience. Pay: 16/hr

University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel, Athens, GA / Oct 2015 - May 2017 This was my first job. My friend got me in while I was in High School and I was stoked to be making money. I started off serving tables in a banquet setting. The Hotel was known to host some of Athens' fanciest events and I was serving these people. A few months in, I got promoted to Lead Server and was in charge of leading these events. I managed a group of people and instructed them to perform the best for the experience of the customers. Communicated with the kitchen staff to expedite food efficiently and to make sure the customers were satisfied with their food/service. It was a really good experience and I even met and fed the UGA BULLDAWGS !
