Taco Bell, Boulder, CO 2021
Food Champion - Worked in the food line most of the time but helped with anything that needed to be done. The manager was often found not doing her job sometimes so there were times I needed to take over. I dealt with plenty of crazy customers and know how to handle them. Strike Bowling, Macquarie, Sydney, Australia 2022
Kitchen Assistant - Worked in the kitchen at Strike Bowling in Macquarie Centre in Sydney Australia. I would wash dishes, make and serve food to customers, and set up functions for kids on the weekends. This job required a lot of independence because oftentimes during the week I would be in the kitchen alone and would have to figure out how to do things on my own. The main customers that I would have to interact with would be parents of little kids who were there for the functions. Fiore, Forest Park, IL Summer 2023
Server / Busser / Bartender - Worked as both a server and busser for the summer of 2023 back at my home in Chicago. I worked at a family style pizza restaurant / bakery named Fiore. My role in this job covered every aspect in the front of the house. I would welcome and seat guests, I would serve them, I would make their drinks, and bus tables. I would also complete side work in my spare time and stay late to clean and close up. Working here I learned how to communicate with the customers and how to treat them. I also learned how to conduct myself in a stressful environment when the restaurant was busy and hectic. Intern Work
Intern, 2023
Thrive Counseling Center, Oak Park IL - For the summer of 2023 I worked as an intern for a community counseling center in my hometown. My work was heavily involved with helping out the administration to do things such as outreach, collect data, organize the data, help run their online communities, or do research on upcoming projects. My work also included being a part of group therapy sessions and listening in on staff meetings. Thrive gave me a lot of creative freedom within the projects that were handed to me. From this, I was able to gain a better understanding of what’s behind the operations of a business such as a community counseling center, I better understand the work that goes behind being a social worker, and I better understand how to conduct myself in a professional work environment.
